There are 3 main types of anti static bags that are widely used across many industries. Below is a guide to help you choose the correct style for your needs.

Pink Anti Static Bags

Pink anti static bags and tubing are the only types of bags that are acceptable in a static protected environment.

1. A standard plasic bag can generate static charge in excess of 10,000v. This is more than enough to zap sensitive components. Pink anti static bags do not protect contents from electrostatic discharge, instead they are static free, making them the ideal choice for use in a static free environment.

2. They should be used for NON Static Sensitive Elements such as nuts, bolts, connectors, etc... that will be used in a static sensitive area.
